A Charlotte developer will try his luck with the interstate-facing building RadiciSpandex Corp. has had on the market for more than two years.

Forsite Development, the same company behind the envisioned eco-industrial ReVenture Park in Mecklenburg County, bought the Radici building late last month.

The expectation is Forsite will make improvements and market the former textile headquarters to a new tenant. A 138,000-square-foot structure on Northwest Boulevard, it was formerly home to the RadiciSpandex distribution and finishing operations, as well as corporate offices.

RadiciSpandex, which has 37 employees in Gastonia, is still on site but moved those departments to a separate building at the back of the property.
